I recently upgraded to Vista, and my soundcard driver is installed and says it is working, but I hear no sound?
I cannot seem to find a updated driver for Vista 64 bit?
Maybe someone can help me figure this out?
My soundcard is Realtek ALC888

Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, ok. Select Sound tab. Check if device and driver details are there. Test it. If details are not there you need to reinstall driver. Get driver here:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High%20Definition%20Audio%20Codecs

Try disabling startups when you install the driver. Run msconfig to disable the startups. Enable them again after a successful installation.
