im 13 and i never had a boyfriend. most of my friends have had hundreds of boyfriends but i dont really see the point - they go out with each other for about a week n then break up !- half of the time they dont even like hu they're goin out wiv n they're just using them so they have a boyfriend !
am i right to think it's a bit pathetic?
am i weird coz ive never had a boyfriend ?

Not at all weird.
Having a BF for a week is hardly a good relationship, go out once? Thats more like going out with a friend rather than a BF!
Dont worry about it, better to have BF you like and want to spend time with rather than just to say you have one and not like him and not want to hang out together, but you do just to look good.
BF's will come in time (and sadly also go, but thats life)

At the age you and your peers are in, you will find that you are just now beginning to experiment with relationships with the opposite sex. Since this a new experience for all concerned at that age, there are many 'get togethers and break ups'. This is quite normal and to be somewhat expected.
However, just because other kids are experimenting with relationships, doesn't mean you need to or expected to or have to. You will, in time, decide that you want to experience this type of relationship and that will most likely occur when you find some guy that you find fascinating.
Your not weird and neither are your friends. Having 'mini-relationships' is probably a good thing as you try to determine just what you will want out of a serious relationship.

I dont think so, it seems you are a little smarter than the rest of your friends... relationships at that age are almost completely pointless.
By staying out of the "Dating Scene" at 13 you are avoiding a lot of unnecessary heartbreak and Drama!

No, it isn't wierd. Maybe unusual that you have never had a boyfriend. It isn't a bad thing. Maybe you have different priorities than your friends. It is good that you don't give in to peer pressure. Be yourself and stick with your goals.

no it's not weird. i think dating at such a young age is stupid. there's no point in having a boyfriend at that age because you have more important things to think about. I'm only 14, never had a bf, but i still think its dumb.

no I don't think it's weird at all, ppl can say what they want but my daughter is 15 and never "gone out" with anyone.Enjoy your childhood while you can. being grown up is not all its cracked up to be!
