about rape? About encouraging a certain questioner to go ahead and rape women? I'm serious. I enjoy debate, I enjoy listening to other people's views, I enjoy some silliness and sarcasm, but to stoop so low that you are actually encouraging a questioner to go ahead and rape women in my mind is disgusting, it crosses the line. It is heartless and disrespectful, you think NO ONE who reads these has ever been the victim of rape? Explain to me how you validate your responses please.

I don't care if you're 13 or 83, if you've been raped or know someone who survived rape, you wouldn't be able to joke about it. It's basic decency, which some of these people simply don't possess.

I think one thing we should recognize, is that anyone thoughtless enough to suggest in jest that a woman be raped for any form of retribution, isn't going to be thoughtful enough to answer the question you have asked. This for me is one of those reasons for which I block someone from all further access to my questions and answers. This is not a valid form of free speech which I want communicated in the presence of the women here I care about. That has always been my point.
You're asking how to reason with an unreasonable person. That's simply irrational.

WOW, how does one apply humor and jokes into serious actions such as rape and killing? Let alone, validating sick humor? Whether the poster meant it or not, to get a rise in asking questions that is of a serious nature and turn it into a joke is humiliating to those that have been raped, family members who have been killed and those that have been raped and killed during the violent act.
To joke about violence is to accept the violence. It's sad that the Internet provides for morbid humor to run amok as tho it's a breeding ground for sick humor vigilantes to endorse violence against women. Sad and pathetic for anyone to even part-take in such atrocity.

The person who took it upon himself to annouce that it would be all right to rape a lady , to me was out to get publisitity, and of course he got it , , it is not a case that this person should be able to get away with what he said , about ladies getting rapeed , i for one reported this person , and if yahoo q/a can find out who this person is , he should be reported to the police stright away. and why? because if he is makeing remarks like this on line , then one does have to wonder if he is actually doing it .

The only thing i have said that could be interpreted as harsh is that, due to the more likelyness of being raped again, they should take measures to avoid the situation. Some people here cried "VICTIM BLAME!!!". It wasnt, I was just giving an advice.
On the other hand, look at Cassius' answer! why is it "im gonna rape you" not as acceptable or even more acceptable than "im gonna kill you"?. I'd rather be raped and all that that implies than being raped! Really, i hope nothing happens to anybody, but i'd rather you were all raped than killed!

I didn't like the question and was surprised by the answers he got telling him to go do it! There aren't enough words to say how disgusted and angry I was at the post. I reported him and would have reported those responses but it's deleted now.
EDIT
Mary: There was at least one who said to just go for it. I can't remember who it was, but I was sickened when I read that.

He's a little touched in the head. I never take his responses seriously.
I kind of feel sorry for him.
lady_b, i think she's referring to the question about the guy talking about killing and raping women.
It looks like guns_fan's response is gone. Good.

i agree with you. there are a few things i never joke about. rape is probably the first on my list. it just isn't funny....at all. some people joke about it because they ignorantly think that all of the victims are lying. sure, some may lie, but don't take it out on the vast majority of victims that are hurting.

Some questions are asked solely to be controversial and disruptive; I try to ignore those as much as possible and not feed the trolls.

Reading through the responses, I don't see anyone promoting rape. Even some of the anti-feminists who post here speak of how sick this question really is.
