I'm buying a Gateway MT6705 and want to be able to do some gaming so i want to upgrade the gra[hics card and ram to 2 g as cheaply as possible. Can anybody help me? her are the laptops specs

If you will run Vista, better put 2x1Gb RAM. Otherwise, 1 Gb is ok for XP. With that amount of RAM GMA950 graphics will be able to share maximum memory that it needs.

With regard to graphics upgrade, there are NO retail internal cards for laptops. Some laptop makers like Dell have proprietary cards for some of their models.

The new ASUS XG Station is an expensive option. It interfaces with the (not too fast really x1 PCIe) Express card slot and requires an external monitor. It literally converts a laptop to a desktop.
