Not the ugly cardboard kind... one made of some kind of metal. I need two, to put Letters from Santa in, for Christmas. Anything Christmas themed would be wonderful!

And preferably not too expensive. Thanks in advance!

Take the regular mailing tube and decoupage Christmas motifs on it. If you use this method, instead of just wrapping it in Christmas paper, it will actually become part of the tube. None of the design will tear off. You can get the decoupage glue at any craft store.

If you don't mind something, well, big you could try a hardware store. Some of them have steel pipes of various diameters for clothes dryer exhaust vents, for example. They may even have stove pipe (vents exhaust gases and fumes from furnaces). Some stores may even have scraps from round downspouts, but you may need to look at a Lowes or Home Depot to find them.

Please bear in mind that these pipes, etc., will probably be plain metal, and I doubt seriously they'll have exactly what you are looking for. The good side is that you'll have several days before Christmas to customize the pipes--a can or two of red or green paint, maybe a stencil for Christmas trees, and so on--it's all good. This is a very creative idea and I wish you lots of success! Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Why couldn't you use an "ugly cardboard one" that you wrap in gift wrap?
