I dislocated my left shoulder playing ice hockey 3 months ago. been in a sling for 3 weeks and had therapy for 5 weeks. No pain whatsoever when I play hockey, do curls, etc.
In therapy I used to do 2 sets of 10 reps of pushups every day. I've been trying to climb to about 50 reps per set. Right now I am at 4 sets of 20 pushups. Sometimes I feel pain when doing pushups. Should I just stop doing pushups or go back to doing 10 per set?
When I do a little bit, it doesn't seem to hurt, but when I try to do 20+ push ups per set, I feel some mild pain.
Another question, is it possible to dislocate a shoulder while benching?

Arterial sclerosis!!

Oh, we're not giving shout-outs to our favorite maladies? ;)

Seriously, though, ask your coach, gym teacher, doctor, or parents. You shouldn't do any kind of physical activity that causes you pain. And don't believe the misquoted phrase, "No pain, no gain". The correct phrase is, "No STRAIN, no gain". Got it? Good!
