First take a deep breath... I was jittery when I first got mine. That was 4 years ago. Anyway since this is your first period, I would recomend that you wear a pad and change it in a couple of hours if you did bleed more. Also wear one to bed for the same reason so you don't leak on your bed. Also if you don't get any more blood, its impossible for the womens body to start a regular scedule. It will take about a year maybe more to become fully regular. For now you will just have spotting... Its really hard to expect when it will come or not. But that means your body isnt regular yet.. I am sorry if it sounds like I am repeating myself but I guess its hard for me to fully explain. Anyway, I would also tell your mother about it if you haven't already. She is most likely to explain a lot for you. If you just pull her aside and tell her with total confidence the more help you will get.

Hope I helped!

28 day cycles are average (your first day of your cycle is the first day you bleed--the last day is the day before you start your next cycle), some women have 25 day cycles and some have longer cycles. I have a 30 day cycle.
You're young and your periods will probably be irregular for the first 3-4 years. Keep a journal to track your dates so you can see the pattern if there is one. As the others have pointed out, there is a possibility you may not have another period for a couple of months (my first period was at age 12, it lasted 3 days and I didn't have another on for a little over a year)

Hate to say this but just b/c a friend got hers this way does not mean you will get it the same way. It could be 2 to 3 months before you get another one. It could be next week. You can not predict the course of your period yet. Advise wise . Be prepared. Always have a pad or tampon in your pocketbook at all times. Try wearing a panty liner everyday for a just in case it starts you have some protection. Your body should start having symptons but this being your 1st time it might be hard to distinguish.

If you haven't bled for 24 hours chances are this period is over with until your next cycle which could be in 21 - 35 days, though 28 days is the average for most women.

Everyone is different. The best advice you can get is this, talk to your gynecologists. If you don't have one yet, please get one soon. Now is the time when you will start needing PAP smears done. Some women have their cycles every 28 day and some have them anywhere between 20 to 36 days.

when i got my first one i was 12 years old, i odn't remember how long it lasted. but i know i didn't get another one for about 3 months. it took awhile before it normal ed out to every month. i wouldn't think that it would come back in a week. it would take longer than that to build make up. but its hard to say because everyone's body is different.
hope that helps!
