hello.
i'm in a bit of a pickle here, because my computer just crashed, and my full library of itunes songs were lost.

my ipod still has all of the songs on it, so i would just like to know if the usb jack could transfer the songs from the ipod to the empty library. hopefully without the songs being erased from the ipod.

my brother's friend says it works, but i really don't want to take the risk without knowing, because (stupid me) i didn't back any of the songs up onto an extra disc.

pleaseeee help me.

If they are purchased off the iTunes store then you have no problems. there is a button in the 'File' menu that says 'Transfer purchases from iPod' All the hard work will be done by iTunes then

If you have songs that you have got from CD's or downloaded then its causes more of a problem. There is a program called 'Senuti' which does what you need but i think it is a mac only program.

With a quick search of google i found the link below and it should do everything you need it to but i have never used it before (I don't use windows) so i can't really how how good it is. http://www.ipod2computer.com/index.php?SRC=6

Hope this helps. Just remember to back up

No, the iPod is a one-way sync, different than for iTunes purchases (such as you have yet another computing gadget and you synced a bought music, this is going to sync decrease back on your different). Your iPod will only be loaded inclusive of your songs from iTunes.

You can transfer your songs. When the iPod is connected open iTunes and select transfer music.

OMG i can so relate to your situation. if all of your music was purchased from itunes you can can apple and they will let you have it back. the rest, youll have to re download
if you plus it in, it wont totally erase everthing untill you actually agree so read carfully. dont be scared, what do you have to loose? <-- all your songs, thats what, so be careful

Itunes will not let you up load music from an Ipod to your computer. other third party software will let you do it.
