The milk should be fine if it was frozen. 2 months is okay in a freezer- but NOT in the fridge. If it smells/tastes okay, its alright. Try and get the air out of the bag when you put it in there and double bag it to prevent freezer crystals...

just asked the doctor about teething and he said yes, baby is probably teething, he suggests you give your little son some rusks to gnaw on. Even so it can take a while. The baby gel for teething here in australia is sm33 but i dont know where you are, ask the chemist.
About the breast milk, after two and a half months in the freezer you should throw it out anyway because the protiens may be degraded. Hope this helps.

I've heard that babies can start as early as 4 months teething altho the teeth don't come through until 6 months. The symptoms do sound as if this might be the case. As to the frozen milk, prob best not to use it 2 reasons. a) it has frostbite b) your milk changes with the age of your baby, so what you froze over 2 months ago was for a 2 month baby, your baby has other needs now and your breast milk has changed to that. Hope that helps.

I formula fed so I don't know about the breast milk (sorry)
but as for teething, yes he could be starting that young... my son did, try getting a wash clothe and wetting the corner of it than putting it in the freezer for a while than letting him bite on that, it'll be cold to numb his gums, and no to hard that it'll hurt him. Also you can give him a biter biscut during the day, they that they're for graduates, but they dissolve with spit so baby won't choke on them and they are amazing for teething babies. Just be sure to put him in a high chair because they can get messy

#1- yes, he is teething.
#2-Yes, throw it out! Are you still producing milk? Give him fresh!
Horray that you are a breastfeeder! you did the best thing for your child! He will be healthier & smarter throughout his life!
To the lady above called ME, they may have an unhealthy side affect if they make him sleep. I would look it up & do some serious research. I am into organics & homeopathic remedies. I didn't use anything on my son. His 1st 2 teeth were in at 3 months.

My first baby cut her first tooth right before her 4 month check up. I mentioned it to her pediatrician who was surprised it was that early, but sure enough when she examined her mouth, she saw it.
I'd use the breast milk if it smells fine and like someone else said, it was in the freezer, not fridge. Kellymom.com is a good website when it comes to breast feeding questions.

I would not use the breast milk, but that's just my opinion.
As for the drooling, my grandson cut his first tooth at 4 months. It is quite possible your son is teething.
My great-niece was born with a tooth!

i am convinced my daughter started teething at four months despite the health visitor insisting it wasnt possible. My daughter was very cranky and i could see that something in her mouth was irritating her (she was biting at her fists in an agitated way).
SO yeah, i think its possible. After all, some babies are apparently born with teeth (rare, but it does occur) so it follows that some babies could teeth early

everyone is telling you he's probably teething but here's some more important info. you need. there's teething tablets now and they are much better thatn orajel. they don't taste bad, they are homeopatic, and they can even make your son sleep better/a little longer. they dissolve easy under even a small baby's tongue. but at 5 mos. i just put them in my son's bottle of milk. they worked very good. they sell them at k-mart and alot of stores.
