You've got numerous problems. Taking it to multiple garages isn't helping matters either. By doing that, you're not letting any one person get familiar with your vehicle. It's 20 years old. And things like this, particulary with a rebuilt motor can be difficult to track.

Who installed the motor? And have you taken it back to them? What oil lines are leaking? Do you have an oil pressure guage inside or is it just a dummy light? Did you install the lines correctly? Could you possibly have the lines crossed?

For the fuel smell, you need to find out where it's coming from? Fuel line leaking? Carb float stuck (fuel would be pouring out of the carb) and generally run like crap unless you've got the pedal floored.

Need more info to help you out. One problem at a time though.
