How about his manic depression? Or his poetry (he really wasn't that bad)?

A book that you need to read and use for Reference is the book named " The Real Lincoln" by Thomas DiLorenzo(2002).
Here is the link from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Real-Lincoln-Abraham-Agenda-Unnecessary/dp/0761536418
The book tell about several topics that are not know much about so called Honest Abe. Like:
DiLorenzo presents evidence of civil liberties abuses such as the suspension of habeas corpus, violations of the first amendment, war crimes committed by generals in the American Civil War, and the expansion of government power.
DiLorenzo argues that Lincoln's views on race exhibited forms of bigotry that are commonly overlooked today.
DiLorenzo also argues that Lincoln instigated the Civil War not over slavery but rather to centralize power and to enforce the strongly protectionist Morrill Tariff; similarly, he criticizes Lincoln for his strong support of Henry Clay's American System.

The best recent book about Lincoln is "Team of Rivals," by Doris Kearns Goodwin. She talks about how he began as a little-respected second-choice candidate who recruited most of his rivals for the Presidency to his cabinet. Each of them expected that they would be the real power in Washington, and all of them were very surprised to learn how smart Lincoln was. Most of his rivals came to completely revere Lincoln and were absolutely dedicated to him. So you might talk about how a key element of his leadership was putting rivals in key positions and then winning them over to his way of looking at things. It's as if the next president were to appoint all the leading Democratic and Republican candidates to cabinet positions. Can you imagine such a thing? Nobody but Lincoln could have pulled it off.

Start with his early education and where he was born and go to the assassination. In other words his whole life. Give details about important events and how hard he worked at everything he did.

The first link covers just about everything you’re likely to need, I’ve given others in case you get bored:

Lincoln warned the South in his Inaugural Address: "In your hands, my dissatisfied fellow countrymen, and not in mine, is the momentous issue of civil war. The government will not assail you.... You have no oath registered in Heaven to destroy the government, while I shall have the most solemn one to preserve, protect and defend it."
