I have performed the cello for basically about 0.5 of my existence and im in love with the bach suites. if u like the prelude, then i propose gazing some thing else of suite one because it has a similar common style. the 2d and third suites are like this 2 and the fifth and sixth are better complicated yet are magnificent. and there are also many diverse interpretations of the bach suites, i in my opinion choose yo-yo ma's cd, because he performs them basically about precisely as they were written by ability of bach. then i might want to assert casals and rostropovich because they upload some elaborations that bach didnt want, yet are nonetheless large (for sure). besides, its large that u earnings from the bach suites and characteristic exciting exploring song!!

i have played the cello for almost half of my life and im in love with the bach suites. if u like the prelude, then i suggest looking at the rest of suite one because it has a similar simple style. the second and third suites are like this two and the 5th and 6th are more complicated but are fantastic. and there are also many different interpretations of the bach suites, i personally prefer yo-yo ma's cd, because he plays them almost exactly as they were written by bach. then i would say casals and rostropovich because they add some embellishments that bach didnt want, but are still great (of course). anyway, its great that u enjoy the bach suites and have fun exploring music!!

Yo-Yo Ma plays great cello in the soundtracks for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and also Memoirs of a Geisha.

Bach's Air in D from the 3rd orch suite, BWV 1068 is also good (for all strings though)

Bach wrote six suites for solo cello so you will probably love them all. He also wrote similar solo works for the violin so you should give them a try too.
