No. It means the head is down. Engaged means the head has started to descend in to the pelvis. Babies naturally (most of them) turn head down sometime in the mid-20s, week wise...give or take. Some take longer than others.

Usually yes. If the baby's head is so low that the doctor can feel it with against the cervix then the baby is very much engaged. If the doctor told you the baby is head down from an external exam (just poking your belly), then it doesn't neccessarily mean the baby is engaged. Don't worry, some women walk around for weeks or months feeling like the baby's going to fall out at any moment... but of course it doesn't.

Good luck.

Nope. Just cause the head is pointing south, doesn't mean a heck of a lot.
They can flip back and forth [ and sideways ] until about 35 weeks, then will usually stay head down. They engage ahead of time in first babies, but not necessarily in subsequent ones.

Head is down is different from baby is engaged. It just means that baby isn't breach or sideways. This is good. Otherwise, they would schedule a c-section.

Depends on the sex. If its a girl, then its possible that its engaged, though I think that it a bit too early to get ngaged. What with school, growing up, learning to walk etc
