I'm grateful to anyone selfless enough to put several years of their own life aside in a commitment to serve our country.
That's why I try to vote for the best possible leadership for them, so they don't end up in situations like Iraq. If you really support the troops, you wouldn't have voted for a proven incompetent like George W. Bush.
Do you honestly believe those Future Terrorist Attacks, that have you quaking in your boots, are being planned in Iraq right now?

The military is appreciated by everyone, always. However, it is not appreciated that our leadership is using the military for unjust and evil purposes. Americans were unanimously behind the use of the military in WWII. Even Korea was a fairly popular war. Vietnam was an open ended conflict in which there were no clear cut military goals except to kill and die. Not a good place for American soldiers to be. Unofrtunately, Iraq is not really much different. There are a small minority of Americans who THINK we are doing something worthwhile in Iraq. This small minority is comprised entirely of people who get their information from FOX news and White House press releases....

Patriotism is an illusion.
The recent war was wrong and based on sheer greed in reality.
So the world and much of US are disgusted by the site of US military, not proud.
That is my take on it.
