First : create a listing of all household expenses with the amount paid off each month. split the list into two parts: fixed payments and variable payments.

Second: do a breakdown of how much is spent each on fixed vs variable payments. While the fixed never changes, the variable will fluctuate from month to month (food, clothing, recreational expenses). This is what you will need to change in order to have some money in your pocket at the end of the month. If you can reduce the cost of some of these items, you will be able to save some of the extra cash in the bank and have it for a rainy day.

If you see that you still are not making enough money then you will have to take on another job (possibly an Internet job because you can do that from home and there are decent ones out there) use one of your hobbies to bring in extra cash.

GOOD LUCK

I was going to try and be slick with this answer, but I guess you are serious, so I will just let you know that the most popular kid in my old school was one of the poorest. He never had the latest anything, but he did have a great sense of humour an genuine warmth that everybody loved. If you can, wear what you have and try to remember that people are always worth more than stuff.

I complain and get upset especially during the holidays but it's not the end of the world. I also daydream about what and how I would spend Oprah's money .I have 4 healthy children that I love extremly so it helps to focus on them . Happy Holidays !

It is hard, you can only do what you can do. My husband will try to do some side jobs for extra money, but that depends on what a persons trade is. My husband is a mechanic. You may want to try selling candles or Pampered Chef, something like that where you get quick money off the sales and it is a little extra income you can do at your convenience. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, I have to do without some things, obviously. But for all the other stuff that I need, well, that's what credit cards are for. Otherwise, you could put more hours in at your job if possible.
