What tests did you have before you got pregnant or started TTC? We've been TTC since July and I've got an OB/GYN appointment coming up. Are there any tests that I should be getting now besides a pap?

It really depends on if you are having any problems, like irregular periods or symptoms of a hormone imbalance.
If so, your OB should do a hormone panel. Also, rubella and chicken pox immunizations should be checked. A thyroid panel should be done. A complete blood count, CBC, will be done to check your iron and for anemia. You can also request to have an HIV, Hep. B, and syphillis tests done.
And they might get a urine sample to check for uti.

My doc checked me for German Measles antibodies and I had an A1C test for diabetes. If you eat little meat or have very heavy periods, s/he might also check you for iron levels. The diabetes test was because I am both overweight and have a family history of diabetes. He just wanted to know where things stood before pregnancy. I should also point out that there was no concerns about whether I could conceive. It was just that I wanted to start and was concerned about a couple of issues.

Alas, another problem came up and I've had to delay pregnancy again.

I didn't have any tests. Probably because I had just had a pap and cervical a few months prior. But she did mention having a cystic fibrosis done. But we decided not to since no one in either of our families has had it.
