The unemployment office is very strict as to who they give it to. A good rule of thumb is that they require you to have been with that employer at least 6 mths and been let go. They only want to help those who unexpectely find themselves without a job not anyone who quits. Trust me I thought about that to.

No, you can't. At least I know you cannot in Arizona. The employer has the right to dispute your request for unemployment. And since you chose to leave you are not eligible. You are also not eligible if you were let go for lack of performance. Unemployment is for people who are laid off, wrongfully terminated, etc. Not for people looking to milk the system because they didn't like their job but still want some money the easy way. This is a prime example of why all the federal and state "assistance" programs are a huge farce. Too many people try to manipulate their way into 'free, lazy money'.

I don`t think you will be able to draw unemployment, because you quit.
I live in Calif.too.
You should of had another job lined up before you quit.

you can always apply down at the unemployment office

and I suspect you'll not be eligible since you voluntarily resigned and the employer will tell them that they had work for you to do.

I believe unemployment is if the employer fire you, not because of you quit.
