Anyone else notice that the dire predictions of an active hurricane season did not come true? Global Warming should have warmed the oceans and we should all be under water now. If they can't get it right, how are these people (including non scientists like Al Gore) able to predict the next 100 years?

Bush stopped them this year because we called him on the one he caused in New Orleans. We better keep on him or he'll send more towards poor people next season.

Here is what is going to happen. They will make the same prediction every year until we actually have a pretty severe huricane season. Then they will use that as evidence that they were right. Of course, they will not mention all of the times that they predicted incorrectly.

The scammers in the psychic world use the same trick. Make a ton of predictions and odds are a couple of them will be right. Take those correct "predictions" and harp on them as proof of psychic ability. Do not dare mention the incorrect predictions.

Where I am at, we are having some of the nicest weather we have had as far back as I can remember. A very cool summer and record level rainfall. If this is the effects of global warming, then I say bring it on.

I just moved to Orlando, FL about a year ago. I moved from MI. I have never experienced a hurricane before and I was quite disappointed that we did not have one this year. Maybe I can experience the thrill of one next year. I am just glad to get away from Michigan and all the snow and cold weather.
BTW, people think it is cool that I live in Orlando, but the novelty wears off pretty quickly. There is a lot more here than just Mickey Mouse. Including a lot of crime. Other than that it is not much different than any other US city.

Actually there were several hurricanes this year- we were just blessed enough that no really big ones hit the United States this time around. But across the world? No, not everyone survived the onslaught of hurricanes this year.

Hey, how about that severe drought in Georgia? Did you hear about that? Or the huge wildfires in California? Oh never mind, you won't get it anyway...
