Isn't that illegal?

What kind of idiot would run a business like that?

This is an outrage

Isn't that what businesses were doing with the Liberty Dollar.

That money was backed by silver- gold - and platinum! is that what threatened the private owned Federal Reserve?

They didn't resemble the U.S. Dollar.

They changed the look quite a bit and at first (10 years) they had the Government approval to create these dollars.

Is that why they raided the Liberty Dollar office?

So Mexican money is ok, but when someone in America creates a coin - currency backed by real gold for private dealings between owners of this currency the Feds go crazy!

Go figure

One owner of Liberty Dollars actions does not represent the actions of the company!

It is just because that currency had real backed value - Gold and Platinum

And the Federal Reserve Currency is backed by air and thats what they print it from - thin air

That is why the dollar is becoming worthless

But hey, when we collaapse - that gives them excuse for creating the North American Union and the Amero as a bial out

You watch

It will happen step by step

How is it that casino's in Nevada can coin their own money? (OH, wait, you can't use them outside the casino.)

Liberty dollars were attempted to be passed off as US money. which is why they got upset.

Countries have exchange agreements with other countries which is why we can accept foreign money in the US, and they can accept US money in other countries.

A business could accept a goat in payment for a product if they chose. It makes filing your taxes a pain in the neck, but it's not illegal. What's an outrage would be forcing people to take American dollars and American dollars only in the business that they own.

Why is it an outrage ? When I go to Canada they accept American money same as when I go to Mexico. If this business owner is willing to eat the costs of converting the Pesos back into US Dollars where is the harm ?

How does the Federal Reserve (a privately owned company) have the right to print US money?

I didn't agree to it, nor did anyone else alive for that matter.

Lets bring that up to vote again first, then worry about Pizza Patron.

Besides, maybe I want to conduct my business using New Zealand dollars only. Do you have any to buy something with?

Didn't think so.

There are a couple businesses here in Arizona that do that, and they actually make out pretty well. I think as business owners they can accept whatever form of currency they wish. Most just accept US money because it's easiest for them to do business with that. No skin off of my nose - I don't go to those places anyway.

They can accept any currency they wish. Mexican businesses often accept US and Canadian dollars as well. What's the outrage? There must be something more critical to worry about.

A business owner may charge whatever he or she chooses for services rendered. It is not illegal to accept payment in pesos. It is a bit more trouble to deposit foriegn money on one's account, but banks in border states are equipped to make the exchange. What exactly is outrageous about it?

Pizza Patron does that all across the nation. It is a national franchise. Retail businesses (with some exceptions) are required to accept U.S. currency - but they can also accept chickens and donkeys if they want to.

It isn't illegal as long as the peso to dollar conversion is equal. Some banks will except foreign currency as a deposit.
