I want to give my mom a "WOWING PRESENT" lol. But I don't know what! Less then $150 because I don't have a lot of money. What can I buy her?

And if it's jewlery she HAS to like it because she regularly doesn't like alot of things that I like. Any more ideas?

My mother is in LOVE with Josh Groban's new cd, Michael Boucle's new cd, and Garth Brook's Greatest greatest hits cd. You could get several cds and a new stereo system. Or an xm radio. My mom just got one and loves it. I couldn't live without mine! The car install kit is about $100, and then you could get a year's worth of service for about $50.

Is there anything she loves? Gardening? You could get a whole bunch of gardening stuff for that. Have you seen those fountains made with copper pots. so pretty. Broadway play? Several of them are going on tour soon. Or if the two of them are into sports--tickets to a sporting game would be about that as well. Though close tickets might run over that--perhaps someone else could go in with you and you get one ticket, they get one tiket.

Perhaps a weekend getaway. Look at local bed and breakfasts. You could get a weekend package--or plan some activities. Look up bed and breakfasts for them, but you get some of the activities lined up, like horseback riding and a Welcome basket from the owners with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Right after Christmas it would be a great time to relax and mellow out, plus it's off season so the price is lower. I think that would be really wow.
I don't know where you live but 2 tickets to Vegas from most major cities would be less than $150.

A framed picture. I'm not sure how old your parents are but often my parents pictures are grainy and difficult to see. New technology now can fix the grainy nature and print out a couple 8 x 10s of them in school, dating, and a wedding picture.

A collage. You could get one of those 41 framed pictures collages and find pictures to fill it with. It takes a lot of time on the computer to crop and print them out in the right picture size, but if your printer can print in photo quality--that wouldn't cost that much but take a lot of time. Then you could fill it with pictures of places they've been or the family together on vacations. My husband and I have one of those with all these places we've gone to together; it is one of our favorite pieces of art and took weeks to get it perfect.

$150 is a huge budget. There are lots of things I'm sure they would really love. I love the spa idea too--my mother had a mani/pedi/facial/massage package for about $120. It was basically a full day at the spa and she thought it was the greatest day of her life. She loved the facial. But several people had already suggested that.

I hope these ideas help you some. I'm sure your mom will love anything that takes time and effort and shows you were thinking about her. Good luck!

digital camera? usually moms like to capture things around them to cherish the memories. You can find some pretty nice ones -- 5 MP, big LCD preview screen, etc -- just about anywhere nowadays in the $100 range.

Bonus: if she's not tech savvy you could throw in some cute coupons for "1 free family photo shoot" or "Mother-Daughter photo shoot" and then walk her through how to use the features and make it work with her computer. I'm sure she'd love the time spent together!

Give her a giftcard at a local nail shop to get a pedicure. (Usually around $20) Then get a small basket and put things in it that remind you of your mom. Ie. her favorite scent is lilac, then include lilac soap, maybe a t-shirt or CD of her favorite band, and a comfy fleece blanket ($7 at walmart) Get creative. She will appreciate that more than getting her just one thing. Plus, you could have a friend take a picture of you dressed nice and put it in a picture frame for her to bring to work. Write her a nice note to tell her how much you appreciated her throughout the year.

Does she craft? If yes, the Xyron 900 adhesive machine, or Sizzix die cutter (or Sizzix Big Kick or Sidekick or Sizzix alphabets). Gift cert. for a massage or day spa. Wireless headphones. MP3 Player. We got my mother-in-law a digital picture frame, which we'll load with pix before the big day. A class. Membership somewhere she likes--museum, aquarium, zoo. Adopt an animal at your local zoo in her name. a trip for the 2 of you to Build-a-Bear. Tix to a show or game. Name a star after her.
