Reset it. Hold the menu button (the top of the scroll wheel) and center button for like 5 seconds.

The way to fix ANY Ipod problem is by switching the hold button to hold and then back then hold the center and the top button for 10 seconds or something like that. I think apple.com says 6 seconds, but it always takes me longer.

push the menu and middle button for about 10 second it should go to the apple screen and then turn off then turn it back on and see what happened don't worry about it

hold the center and menu button simultaneously in for a couple seconds, and it should restart .
