Reset it. Hold the menu button (the top of the scroll wheel) and center button for like 5 seconds.

The way to fix ANY Ipod problem is by switching the hold button to hold and then back then hold the center and the top button for 10 seconds or something like that. I think apple.com says 6 seconds, but it always takes me longer.

Switch the HOLD button over for a few seconds, then unlock it again. Then press and hold the center and the menu button at the same time until it resets.

push the menu and middle button for about 10 second it should go to the apple screen and then turn off then turn it back on and see what happened don't worry about it

thats what worked for me..
i held down the center button and the menu button at the same time until it came on again

hold the center and menu button simultaneously in for a couple seconds, and it should restart .

You have to press and hold certain buttons, but I can't remember which. Ok they answered it.

mine did that turns out there was something wrong with it and they gave me a new one bc i was still under warranty
