Your question is valid. Well we are all "real" I doubt any of us is a BOT. Meaning a computer program. As in chat you can e-mail and even exchange phone numbers and talk. Personally I feel no matter how long you interact with a person in this form. You will "never" know them like you would in the flesh. Mannerisms and habits and facial expressions. Just can't be experienced this way. Can you become very close to someone this way? Of course! Maybe even have greater feelings for them then a friend in the flesh but no matter how you slice it. Its still a different form of friendship. I suppose if you both had web cams it would be nearly as close but still close and not the same. Its kinda like a glorified pen pal.

Yes I do. A phone number wasn't an issue until we couldn't contact each other because of internet problems and health issues for one.
These same friends mean a lot to me and I can't see my life without them now that I know them.

Yeah...Like I said there is all different kinds of friendships......I can actually tell if something is wrong with some one I'm close to by they way they answer questions.....Just like today....I could tell when one of my contacts that I consider a really good friend was feeling the Christmas blues....just by the way she was asking and answering questions.....and never said one thing about Christmas.......Yes it is true in person you come to know the facial expressions....but on here you come to know the way they ask and answer.....the "tone" of their writing ........friendship is friendship....doesn't matter how....it only matters that it is........

Yes, on a cyber level. I wish I could actually meet several of them face to face but we live all across the country and, in some instances, world.

Maybe one day.

Definitely, I feel like I've known you for ages even though I have never really met you.

I adore my friends and contacts and feel loyalty and care for them. I remember thinking years ago, why would I want to talk to total strangers on the internet? Funny.
