I have problems with maths, I am actually ok at maths, but I have problems registering symbols and numbers in exams sometimes. I also have a very low level of concentration in lessons, some of my teachers at school have noticed this. One said I could be dyslexic and take a test. Is this nessesary? My english writing and use of grammar is fine though. Is it possible to only be dyslexic with maths and numbers? please help :)

It is called dyscalculia when the problem is with math. Here are a couple of sites that will give you information about it.

Take the test. If you need help dealing with dyslexia you will then be able to get it. You could also have some other learning disability. People who are dyslexic often have problems with reading comprehension too.

Yes, the condition similar to dyslexia but affecting numbers is called dyscalculia.
There is more information here
www.dyscalculia.org
and the British Dyslexia Organisation also has a page on dyscalculia

But also consider that it may be due to anxiety. Just as an example, although I have been able to read music all my life,
if I have to play in public, I become completely unable to translate the dots into what my fingers have toplay!!
Relaxation exercises could help if this is the case.
