Well Huckabee wants to abolish the IRS and replace it with a system where we would be paying even higher taxes and increase government spending.
Ron Paul on the other hand has already stated in order to implement his ideas he will have to compromise with Congress. His plan to phase out the IRS only involves eliminating the income tax which is used to pay back interest to the FED for printing their worthless money.. Other taxes will still exist but they will be low, because Paul plans to reduce the debt the United States is in by reducing government spending taking the burden of taxpayers

Abolishing the IRS is just not going to happen. It would be nice if it would. LOL The republican candidates are more likely to minimize spending and keep taxes low. The Democrats have already outwardly discussed getting rid of the tax breaks given to us over the last 8 years. The Democrats often talk about helping the middle and lower class but their actions are opposite of those beliefs. If you include the pet projects and seemingly endless entitlements, your money. Maybe you get it back in some entitlement, but maybe you don't. It is basically socialism and we see how that works out in other countries....It doesn't.

None of them.

I suppose the thumbs down are from the Ron Paul supporters who actually believe that he can do any of this. Sorry, but the Constitution he so often trots out specifically says that Congress, NOT THE PRESIDENT, has the duty of levying taxes and spending money.
Ron Paul, even if he miraculously becomes the GOP candidate and miraculously wins the election, can not abolish the IRS, and doesn't have the authority to do so.
And cutting the budget will only occur if he vetoes every spending bill that comes across his desk, causing the government to have to shut down eventually, unless he signed emergency spending bills.
No, it's a lot of unfulfillable promises and notions.
Not that I don't agree with them, but you have to be seriously deluded if you think it will ever happen.

ron paul- and to the guy who says the president doesnt have the power to do those things - yes he does have the power to decrease spending it is called the veto
2ndly as per the constitution "bills " can be instituted thru the state of the union address where congress then can debate pass or sink them -read the constitution you will be amazed at what is going on that should not be

Paul and Tancredo. Huckabee won't. He is talking about cutting spending but at the same time spending more on programs.

Well I who ever ends the war will drastically cut spending, because it costs way to much. I don't think any of them will get rid of the IRS.

Isn't it funny how all the pseudo-intellects on here laugh at new ideas (Well not so new, I've talked about it for 14 years).

None. The president does not have the authority to do those things on his own. There is no congressional support for such a platform. Any president that was elected on that platform would waste 4 years in office and be laughed out of office at the end.

Huckabee is the only one that is openly stating it I believe. One thing is for sure, you will never, ever hear this policy supported by any democrat.
