why on earth would you need a list of the whole worlds towns and cities? do u know how huge of a list that would be??

I think you may be correct that the web does not actually have a site that will give you all of this information. I remember trying to find it once before for someone here and I couldn't find a site that would do it. Sorry I couldn't help.

I don't think you can find one of the WORLD. Especially in undocument areas, jungles, deserts, places where there is genocide- or war, and the names changes as the regime changes.
There are too many towns and villages and divisions.

It's unlikely that a single list exists because the list would be so long.

The index of an atlas would pretty much do that, but you might get a few mountain ranges and rivers thrown in.

try google. put in (all of the worlds cities) or (cities in {country's name})

have you tried google maps? or if not try an up to date atlas of the world
