I just got back from my daughters 9 month check up and the doctor didnt give her any shots nor did she take her blood... what did they do at your kiddos 9 month check up?

the weight and how tall he had grown open his mouth, check his eyes and ears and asked what does the baby eat, if he tries to walk all ready or if crawling also if he is trying to say words yet. but no shots or blood procedure.

They have a specific schedule that vaccines should be given. It is possible that the babies shots were up to date and they had no new ones to give right now.

As far as the blood work, the only time my pediatrician has taken blood was when they thought there might be serious problem. Taking blood for the sake to taking it is usually not done. It is not necessary and traumatic for the child.

They are probably just charting the rate of growth and seeing that everything is progressing nicely. Did they measure the head circumference and length, weight. Not every visit involves shots or taking blood.

mine is 9 months now but he did not have one either however he is going next month after he turns 10 months for his 2nd shot of the flu shot.

My son didnt have one. Only a 6 month, and then he'll have a 12 month.

i don't even think we had a 9mo check up. I think we went from 6mos then to the 1 year check up

Weight, height....checked his ears, lungs, etc. That was about it.

Oh, and they did an autism screening test.
