As a square or a long skinny rectangle? The answer can't be given unless we assume a shape for the 1/4 acre.

1 acre encloses an area of 43,560 square feet

1/4 acre would enclose 43,560 / 4 sq. ft., or 10,890

If it is a perfect square, then each side will be equal to the square root of 10,890 or approximately 104.36 ft.

A square with sides that are all 104.36 ft. will have a perimeter that is 4 x 104.36 ft. or approximately 416.4 ft.

43,560 sq ft per acre
that would make 209 ft sides on each side of a perfect square
1/4 of acre = 10,890 sq ft
square root of 10,890 gives 104 ft per side of perfect square
so 4 x 104 ft = 416 ft for perimeter
