If OSU plays in the title game, Illinois will in fact play the Rose Bowl. The Big Ten champion is under contract to play the Rose Bowl, unless the champ is in the Title game. It has been stated that Illinois will play if OSU goes to the title game.

the correct answer is actually illinois.. the big 10 and pac 10 are the choices for the rosebowl not the sec. Illinois will play usc in the rose bowl if usc beats ucla(they will by 20+) and ohio state plays in the championship game

If Ohio State plays for the BCS Championship then the bid can go to any team. The projections are Georgia or Illinois, I personally would like Oklahoma to play. I think that would be a great game.

I think that is where you will see a team like UGA get picked up. If LSU loses against Tennessee it will be them but assuming LSU wins I would go with Georgia. Wild Card pick might be Hawaii though since Colt Brennan is from down there and some people in SoCal might actually want to watch Hawaii play. A team like Illinois has an outside chance but I don't see it happening, they are the only B10 possible here.

Dr. J is correct. In that case, it will be Illinois who plays in the Rose Bowl.

Michigan will then play in the Capital One Bowl on January 1st in Orlando.
