I think its an argument between two multi-billion dollar industries and its stupid.
Its just greed and no, I wont change my subscriber at all over this. Its stupid.

This was set long before the season began, and hey... What do you know... NOBODY CARED. Now, since it's going to be a good game, everyone is crying about it. You have 3 choices..
1. Cry about it.
2. Go somewhere that has the game on.
3. Change carriers.
This is one of the dumbest issues in sports history. This is right up there with a ref throwing a flag for uniform violation when a player doesn't have his jersey tucked in.

I would not change for a game or two, but if I miss out on more than 2 or 3 games, and the price is ridiculous I might
Here in my town, the cable company offers NESN (red sox) and CSN (celtics) as part of the standard tier. If many of the Pats games end up on NFL network I would expect the same. If it is expensive (i.e. part of an expensive sports package), I would look into switching, but I would evaluate the whole package, not just the NFL network deal.
By the way, I used to get the NFL network free as part of the digital package, but they took it out once the NFL demanded more $. I don't know who is more to blame here, the greedy NFL or the greedy cable company.

I actually have NFL network and I always kind of wondered what it was for. It's just like YES (the Yankees network). Eventually it will be available on more providers. I don't think it's such a big deal. The NFL is a business, just like anything else.

While the NFL Network argues with Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Cablevision, as usual...who suffers?....the fans....As always, there is little regard payed to the paying customer. The argument is: NFL Network wants their station to be carried as a "free cable station" and the greedy, selfish, cable companies want to make it a pay channel.
Of course a dish would be the answer, but it's easily said then done....

No and if NFL starts doing it too much I will just stop watching NFL football all together.
.
The same as I did with NASCAR this year. Don't even care who won the cup Championship because of it. And will not be watching NASCAR next year because of it.
All it takes is enough people saying to heck with this crap and stop Paying to watch.

The whole idea of the NFL Network not being on most cable networks is rediculous! Who owns this network? They can't get cable companies to carry them? I don't get it? Thank God our local Hockey team is on, I'll be watching that.

No one could have known this game was going to be so huge. If anything, with Brett Favre at Texas Stadium being 0-8, the people who scheduled it probably thought the game, while fun to see, would be inconsequential. If the game they were showing was Miami versus the Jets, no one would care.
