Yea, the Stars have never been any good especially in 98-99.
The Cowboys have only won the Superbowl 5 times.

First off, the Cowboys are god in Texas. Their franchise is god in the NFL. That's why everybody hates them. The Mavericks are right up there with the best in the NBA. They're just a young team. And no comment on the Stars. But unlike you, true fans stick to their teams through thick and thin. They don't bounce around to the winning teams like you probably do. The only reason I think you do this is because you wouldn't be asking this question if you understood what a real fan is. Oh and Texas was ranked the number one football state in America just recently. look it up.

Football is big in Texas ranging from the junior high, high school level all the way up through college to the Pros.
Go rent Friday Night Lights and watch it. You will see what I mean. Might be jazzed up a little for the movie but in this case not very much.
You would not believe some of the stands emptying fights I have seen at high school games when my kids were in high school.
Even little old ladies having to be in their 80's out on the field throwing punches with the best of them.
This is for WTF ever: It is Tejas not Texico and it is Vaqueros not Caballos. A Caballo is a horse.

First of all last year isn't this year and the Cowboys are a hot ticket right now regardless of the past.
The NBA is losing viewers and the NHL has a very small following.

Perhaps you have been kept in a closet most of your life, but people get hyped about their sports teams, no matter where they come from. Or are you one of those whose heart has been broken by teams from Dallas, and you just can't seem to get over it?

Sports games are the only thing you can do in Texas without being required to speak Mexican. I'm afraid the Mexican Illegal majority in Texas will soon get the state's name changed to "Texico" and the the "Cowboys" will soon become the "Caballos". SAD
