Go out and pick out a burial plot, because you will need it sooner now that you are getting old.
Just kidding... Do whatever turns you on. There are no rules or regulations concerning this in the law books.
Can you go away for the weekend? Go dancing, go see a movie. I've always wanted to spend one day at home, shut off the phone and close the blinds and watch all three Lord of the Rings movies back to back. Order in a pizza and just veg.
but that's just me.
Here's another good one...park your car by a high bridge, leave a suicide note and walk as far away as you can. Then, grab a cab to a nearby bar and wait to see how the media handles it. Think of how relieved your family will be when they find out your still alive, awh the memories!!!! haha

I am turning 31 on Tuesday and have the exact same problem. Except I live in a new area, and my family lives 3 hours away, so I guess I will be going to dinner with just my son.

You are 31 and still going out with family, I can read the pain in your question.
I think it is time to break away from your family, get a few friends together and make plans and tell your family you want to go out with the guys and have fun!!!!
You can always celebrate the day before with your family, or the day after, or before you go out with your friends.
They are your family, be honest with them!!!
They should understand.

Go out to breakfast or lunch with your family and have a GIRLS NIGHT OUT with your friends! Get a hotel room, drink, party, do whatever you like to do with your friends. Every woman needs a break from their husband and kids! My husband lets me do that every once in ahwile. It's so much fun! Just don't get in trouble.

I'm tired of tv and restaurants too. The only thing my imagination comes up with is being naughty. Good clean fun is so boring.
