If its not christians telling you to believe what they believe or the government telling you what to think tv is trying to brainwash you to. Why cant we all just believe what we want to and get along. Some times it feels like everyone is a dictator. how do you feel about this?

Well, for several reasons, actually.
First, some people can't stand when others have different opinions than them. For example, Christains. Some of them cant take it that there are atheists and try to make them like them and try to push it down their throat. This happens a lot in families because parents want their kids to have the same beliefs.
In fact, the political stance/party that your parents have you most likely will have too. If your parents are Conservative, then you most likely will be too. If your parents are Labour, then you most likely will be too.
There's also the news and media telling us and the government.
I whole heartedly agree with you.
People are trying to brainwash us.
As for me, I make my own decisions on what to believe. I don't listen to anyone else. There are not many people like me and you.

I have always been a "live and let live" type of person. I'll do my thing and you do your thing. And we'll both mind our own businesses. If everyone were like that, life would be much easier.

it doesn't bother me, i believe what i believe, and you believe what you want to believe, i wouldn't object to someone telling me about their thoughts, at the end of the day a lot of what people believe is due to what they've heard other people say?

i think people are just not open minded and refuse to accept the fact that everyone will not always agree with them and it leads into the media for marketing purposes

I think it's because they are trying to convince themselves somehow... why bother unless you need to reinforce it for yourself?
