My husband & I tried for a year and a half the first time went back on the pill and the next time we tried it took us 9 months to get pregnant. We went to a fertility dr. to get both of us checked and nothing was wrong with either of us. Sometimes it's your timing. I felt much of the same way you must be feeling now. It seemed like everyone around me was getting pregnant but me and I was getting VERY upset and stressed. The night we conceived my son we went out to dinner with some friends, had a few drinks and had great "lovin" when we got home without the stress of trying to be in the best position or worrying about what time of the month it was. Everyone will tell you not to stress out about it, but it's virtually impossible. I was never able to get a bbt temp change and didn't have any luck with the OTC ovulation tests either. Sometimes it's just not time yet. Try earlier in the month too (Like right after you stop your period). I think that made a difference for me too. I had been trying to wait until the "middle" of the month when I was supposed to ovulating according to the books I read and it obviously didn't work. Keep trying........ persistance pays off! Baby dust to YOU!

Is your temp pretty steady, or does it vary quite a bit. Some women can't use the bbt method, depending on their fertility issues. I know from personal experience that some women with PCOS can't rely on bbt or opk's. I would keep charting for at least another month. Then I would bring the chart into my doctors office. If there is a problem with your bbt, he'll know as soon as he looks at it. Also, make sure that you chart everything, including intercourse, cm, time you took the temp, staying up late or having a glass of wine might have an effect on your bbt as well. I hope this helps. Don't wait too long. If you don't like the results that your getting, go see a doctor. He might tell you to wait a year before looking into getting some help so don't tell him that it's only been 6 months. However, be honest about everything else! Baby dust to both of us.

I just started charting my BBT and last month i did not ovulate until day 27 of my cycle, and this month I ovulated on day 22. There might be other reasons that you have not ovulated yet this month so don't give up or get depressed yet, and if you have a regular period it is likely that you ovulate regularly. /it is completely normal not to ovulate every month most women will have at least one or two infertile cycles in a year. If your period starts to get very irregular then it is likely that you are not ovulating like you should. I hope this helps you, just give it some time and if you get your period without ovulating this cycle and then do not ovulate next cycle you should go to the doctor so they can make sure things are alright with you.

I am going to give you my standard answer.......go get a book called "taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler. It will help you truly understand your body and cycle and erase all the myths that women believe about their bodies. It will help you chart and find your best days for conception - or not! It will also help you learn if you are pregnant or not faster than any pregnancy test can tell you. I believe every woman - whether they want to conceive or not should read this book. I believed all the ovulation & conception myths that are floating around here until we tried for a year with no luck. My doctor recommended the book and it worked the very next month! It turned out my timing was wrong and that I don't ovulate in the middle of my cycle like most women.
I'll be 40 in Nov....and I am due to have my 4th in March!

Women don't always ovulate every month. Don't give up hope. Keep trying and have fun. You might consider going to see your doc. Some doctors want to wait until you have been trying a year depending on age and other factors. It doesn't hurt to make an apt. It might make you feel better if nothing else. I know going to see my OBGYN helped me feel better. Good luck and lots of baby dust!!

no temp increase, no ovulation. i too have been ttc#2 for the past 6mths, we are about to begin our 7th mth. This last mth, I had no temp increase also so I really do not think I ovulated this last mth. Not all women ovulate every single month.

If your trying to get pregnant you and your husband need to go to a fertility specialist. My wife and I tried for six months and had no luck because her cycle was all jacked up. We got pregnant right away. Remember stress is a major factor when trying to get pregnant. If you are stressed out over it then it is unlikely to happen.

i don't have much of an answer for you, but i have heard that it is common to not ovulate every month, however, i would probably go see my dr. and discuss with him/her. you might also get your thyroid checked as well.

much luck!!
