What would you choose?
Admittedly, I don't like the idea of either obviously, but her lawer has opted for the 15 days in a Sudanese jail - oh dear - I think at least the lashes are over with in 10 - 15 minutes and then you can recover.. what would you choose?

Well the conditions in the west are bad so I imagine they're worse - it's hot no aircon - terrible food.... I htink I'll opt for a pamky - madonna would be proud!

After 40 lashes you would probably spend 15 days in a Sudanese hospital. This is not daddy with the belt.

Have you ever seen some of the photographs of people after they have been lashed?
It cuts them right open and they have big gashes all over their bodies, some people even die from blood loss or from the wounds becoming infected.
I'd take prison any day.

The lashes would most likely be public, so I would choose jail, so as to not give the public the satisfaction of seeing me punished for this ridiculous crime.

she was smart enough to go to jail . they would have crippled her or worse. Islam and its followers are a barbaric lot.
the UK should pull out all aid and deport all Sudanese not born here right after that all Muslims as well

Well a women got 200 lashes ( cant remember when ) but that almost killed her, so 40 should be preety bad :S

I would take the jail time. The lashes are with wet down bamboo stalks and it tears up and off your skin.

I would choose the lashes and then would pose for the press with the marks and say "This is justice in the 21st century".
