How to wear a dress like this?

Question

I want to get a casual, but stylish dress. Something that sort of drapes the body, like something the stars wear when they just go out at night. How do I pull this look together to not look over done?
By the way I'm short--only 5'1" and 110ish pounds. So I don't know if that makes a difference or not?

P.S. This would be for going out at night with my friends. I'm 17 by the way so nothing too revealing. Would big sunglasses and a slouchy purse work with this outfit?

wow. those dresses are adorable!
with the first two, i would say wear gold accesories. smething a bit chunky but nothing too gaudy.
for the second two id say probably silver would go well.

shoes
for the first one, either gold heels or white flip flops, pssibly black but make sure that matches before you wear it out
for the second one, black heels
for the third one, either silver or clear heels. possibly flip flops
for the last one, either silver heels or maybe black. once again watch the black, it might look different with the dress than i picture it


the sunglasses and bag sound good. but PLEASE only wear the sunglasses if it is sunny out. i hate when people wear them when its dark

I would not choose any of these, they would make you look shorter than you are. I would choose a dress like the chikako dress, but with short, just off the shoulder, soft sleeves, the bodice more fitted to about the hips and then softly flared out, to mid calf, with no obvious horizontal lines, in a solid color like black, deep purple or blue, depending on your skin tone. It need not have a deep cleavage, a round or square neckline may work as well. Also, don't wear bulky jewelery with it, high heels will also add length.

I love love love how the KIMONO sleeve dress off the shoulder looks. Its kinda like those that you have up there. there are ones on EBAY if you type in that description and i think they are so cute and i have been wanting to get one but i don't know when i would wear it and why pay 30 dollars if i'm not going to. I think it would look really cute to go out in but i wouldn't accessorize it with too much.. maybe just big earrings and a really cute pair of heels. OH but no sunglasses at night if you wear them in the day that would be cute but night time obviously looks dumb. And a slouchy purse would maybe be too much... since the dress has loose fitting arms

Go with the third dress (the purple one) with gold strappy heels and a metallic gold clutch purse. Nothing to to to flashy because the dress has the sequins. I think they are all pretty cute :D

I'd go with the red one. Wear some ballet flats. No jewelry, except for maybe some hoop earrings. Do your hair in a sideswept pony tail. Small hobo bag. No sunglasses.

The problem with the dresses you chose, is they have a tendency to make girls/women look pregnant. I have no idea what the designers are thinking. There so many other styles that are much better. Every lady should have a classic black dress.

leggings and oversized sunglasses and an oversized classy bag :) also heels that match the outfit. find some jewlery that would match. <3
