this typically wont harm your PC over the life of your PC and the typical life is 3-5 years if your one not to upgrade often so you should be fine. However the deal with PCs is the heat so when you run a PC they get hot and shutting them down cools them off and the reaction from hot to cold is contracting the metals in the board and other electronics back and forth and can cause them to break. But typically this does not happen.

unless you shut it down properly (i.e. shudown button in windows) you should be fine. It wont affect the life. in fact 2 times a day is normal for a computer.
leaving it on may actually damage rather than help the life of your computer. only special power supplies and other components of a computer are MADE to stay on(i.e. server components and power supplies) so you're safer shutting it down when you go to bed rather than letting it go to sleep.

Every time you do, you introduce a small electrical surge though the motherboard. In time, that will shorten the life of the machine.
Most computers are designed to stay on. Just let it go to sleep when you're not using it.

It does not hurt it by any negligible amount.
The computer will be long obsolete before you wear it out that way.
