Why so?

I think that passion runs out and the more emotional side of love begins to take over .

And I think it is more difficult to let go of.

Yes. If your talking sex yes is does diminish (slightly ) but true love NEVER. I live and breath for my husband and he does for me. The only trouble is as you get older you know by the law of averages one of you will die before the other and the one that is left will be heartbroken. So its best to live knowing that it can happen any day and just make each day a loving one which will always remaine in your heart.
