I have 2 public intox charges from several years ago that were both dismissed. I got a dui about a month ago and have not gone to court over it yet. do I need to mark yes that I was convicted for the 2 crimes that were dismissed or something that I have not been convicted of?

No, but may I strongly suggest you take a serious look at your alcohol consumption and how its affecting your life, then do something about it. With your past history I fear you are in for an alcohol related incident in the future which could have very serious adverse consequences for you. You've been lucky that nothing serious has happened - Yet! There are too many support groups, ie, AA, to help you, and they won't cost you anything. Your next incident could result in someone's death, maybe your own, or if not, someone else's (not sure which is worse). A background check usually means some type of security or a high responsibility position, and your drinking problems will be evident to those you work with/for. Take some positive action to insure alcohol doesn't affect your future. Good Luck

If you weren't convicted of it, it's not a conviction.
