In Canada, we had a fellow who was respected by all of the political parties, and Canadian citizens alike, and who was named the most outstanding Canadian ever.
His name was Tommy Douglas, he was Keefer Sutherland's grandfather, and he brought the first Provincial health care program to Canada.He did this while he was the Premier of Saskatchewan, and it was so successful, it was adopted by the federal government, and that is why all Canadians enjoy health coverage when they are ill, and do not have to pay out of pocket.
