Can a docter sent you back to work if your're still sick? I have a laprosopy procedure to remove cysts. I wont know the recovery time till after the surgery. This is because I wont know if they have to go through the abdomen and do a laprotomony. The recovery time on that is 4-6 weeks. As apposed to 1 week. If Im not feeling good can the docter force me to go back to work early?

Why would the Doctor be able to send you to work? That would be up to your work. If your work needs a note from your Doctor and he says you can go back after a week, well you can't get him to change that.

If the Dr says you need 4 wks and in that time you don't feel up to it-you could discuss it when him & he would more than likely write a note for another couple of wks.

The doctor will work with you (within reason) on when they will give you a work release. On a side note, "sent" is the past -tense of send. Asking if a doctor "can sent" is like asking if you "will gave" me something. Is our education system really failing that miserably?

no one can force you to do anything. and the doctor will know how much time off you will need and act accordingly. He can indeed release you from his care when you no longer need him, but he can't force you to go back to work or do anything else you don't want to do.
