Pretty Important. If he goes then you should go as well, but if he does not care about going then I would not worry about going.

Only as important as he thinks it is....

I know that if my husband feels that a Christmas Party at his place is employment is something that he should attend...He will go and will want me to go...If he doesn't think it is a big deal...and doesn't want to go...I wouldn't push him to go...

I think that if you didn't already have something planned and he is planning on going to the party, then you should also attend.

I don't care for any of the people my husband works with, not one of them...but I go and put on a happy face for him.

This year our Christmas parties are at the same time on the same night. We are going to mine since it is far better than his works.

It depends. Some places are very informal. In that case, it really doesn't matter. If he is higher up & in charge of a lot of people, it looks better if the wife makes an appearance & meets the other people that he works with. This usually works in the husband's favor because if they like you, then they don't think so badly of your husband!

as someone who gives a party for my employees i think it is vitally important if you are invited to go and to be happy about it. your absence will be noted and it will reflect badly on your husband. it does not matter what you think about it, go and smile and greet everyone who catches your eye and if you cant talk about anything just say how nice all the food and the decor is, and, smile, smile, and at the end of the night know you did the right thing.

Depends on how good your marriage is at the moment......the party itself is not that big of a deal, but being there for your guy to show you off to all his work buddies will make both of you feel good, however if the marriage is rocky, you may want to skip the party and work out the problems instead.

Fortunately, it's not very important, because my husband has to attend two of them. I have no desire to do so, even when the boss is paying for the food.

If he is asking you then its important. Think of the next time you want him to go some where he does not care about.

Extremely important. You need to go, to be with him and support him, to meet his co-workers, have some fun, too! It's awkward sometimes because you may not know anyone else, but look at it as a chance to MEET new people!
Be positive. Go. Have fun!
Were the situation reversed, you would be so teed off at him if he weren't going to your work party with you!

Not for the JOB but to let the potential MEN THEIVES know you exist.

You wouldn't believe the Crap that happens at Christmas Parties and stuff.
