I heard someone say "A pessimistic person is more realistic than an optimistic one."

I don't agree. Do you?

Yeah I agree. Someone who is too optimistic can see the world for what it truly is. They think that everything is going great and will just get better and better. In case you can't tell I am a realist/pessimist.

Both are reflection of their walk of life, where all the experience, success and failure makes one to be optimist or a pessimist!

In fact an optimist live life better than a pessimist since he has the confidence and vision for the life and it's development, while the pessimist loose even his self esteem by his negativeness to life itself!

A pessamistic person views the world at its worst where as the optimist is the opposite. Pessamism and Optimism are beliefs and one cannot be called more realistic then the other.

You should be happy being optimistic, because pessimistic ppl are miserable.

i don't agree either because a pessimistic person is some one who has like an obsessive compulsive dissorder they are just looking at every detail to closley and optimistic person see's things though a much larger picture and does not over obsess over every little detail

realistic, hell yes. But you need to be an optimist, to some extent, to drive your passion and persistence, even when its false, to succeed.

No I don't agree with that. But I do believe that pessimism and optimism can effect your reality.
