I have a friend who says he is bisexual. However, after discussing it with him, it seems its not really a question of either/or. Its seems he really wants both at the same time in a 3some. Is this actually bisexuality or is there a different term for this. I'm well aware that labels do nor define a person, yada- yada-yada. I'm just wondering if this something that deserves its own word.

Your friend being attracted to both genders is what constitutes bisexuality.

His desire to have a threesome is part of his sexual fantasies. The closest label which would match is "poly" which means many. This is normally applied to individuals who want relationships with more than one person at a time. They could be gay, straight or bisexual.

There are many different types of bisexual. You do get some who want poly relationships but there are many who want relationships with one person only. The same also applies to gay and straight people.

The word for this.....Greedy :)
But in all honesty it does sound like bisexuality. If he is honestly attracted to both males and females then that is what being bisexual is about. Just because he wants them at the same time doesn't change the orientation, it just shows he has a fantasy.

He is only bi if he wants to fully interact with both in the same session. If he just wants to double-team a chic, that is not necessarily bi. It could in fact be misogynous.

There may be some other term, slang or otherwise, for the situation he seeks but it's still considered bisexual orientation to be attracted by both sexes.
