Asking both to avoid bias towards your own favorite candidate doing well.

Personally, my favorite candidate is Romney, but I think Huckabee did the best last night.

This is how I rank them which are different after a day of consideration. For the record, Huck is my #1 man right now, but I will vote for the Republican ticket come Novemeber 2008!

1. Mike Huckabee - witty, well-prepared, and compassionate and would unite us! He is the man for the job! Death penalty skate, but I understand why!
2. Mitt Romney - bickering with Rudy made him look petty; comments on torture made him seem wise and made McCain seem cold and on the attack! Comments on Confederate flag non-issue.
3. John McCain - affirmed that he is the well respected veteran and would lead well.
4. Fred Thompson - not heard from very much, seemed poorly prepared and confused. Not very articulate and disappointing. Sounded like he was trying out for VEEP.
5. Duncan Hunter – Faired well, not much time, but all answers were good! He would be a great VEEP to Huckabee!
6. Tom Tancredo – Good on one issue: Immigration, but he ranks high on my candidate calculator, so candidate for VEEP too!
7. Ron Paul - didn't respond well to McCain's attacks; rant about North American Union conspiracy made him seem too extreme.
8. Rudy Giuliani - bickering with Romney made him look petty, if I have to listen to his stats about NY one more time, I will PUKE!

VOTE TO KEEP AMERICA SAFE!

Well to be honest I feel about four of them did well and no one really looked as bad as a "demoncrat" This is very serious as this will make or break the country. I notice that Sen. McCain stated they would not have granted amnesty and allowed up to 40-60 million 'instant" Americans, but why didn't they get the word out?

it started out pretty good until the weird stuff started and I remember walking back in the room and thinking this is weird, this doesn't seem like a conservative debate, more like a liberal, whinny run Democratic debate, as I sat down and started watching the video questions I realized that the people asking the questions could not be "conservatives", but evil LIBERALS. So I did some work around the house, I think the only question about the guns was a conservative asking it. the fruitcakes in the audience I didn't see, but from the news this morning I was correct as many of those questions should not have been asked, but as usual the libs try to muddy the water on the real issues. I feel all those people should be barred from Walmart. Take care.
I wanted to add that the conservatives have trusted the democrats and always gotten messed over and last night was another example. Try and work with them in the senate and they are treacherous.

Time and again and they cannot be trusted. I expected something like that last night from CNN, if Hanoi Jane could not stand the "android", then you know CNN is just as treacherous. THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED AND WE MUST BE VIGILANT AT ALL TIMES OR THERRE WILLBE NO AMERICAS OR LIBErTY.

i couldn't tell because 75% of the debate was between romney and giuliani and they both sucked. with the limited time i felt mccain and huckabee did the best. Mccain clearly had the most substance and was most consistent in his answer. that joke about sending hillary to mars was hilarious. tancredo and hunter really need to drop out. all they do is take up time out of the debate. if those 2 had been gone, the debate may have been more organized and flowing. Mccain/Huckabee ticket would be about the only one i would vote for.

ummm...

McCain and Huckabee started out 'weak' but became more assertive/passionate. Both seem the most consistent in their beliefs. McCain seem the most principled. Although, there wasn't any real "Wow-factor" towards them at all.

Thompson seem to come across as being extremely uncomfortable and more of a policy-wonk. It doesn't seem to be presidential. He probably should have stayed in the Senate.

Tacredo never fails to disappoint...acting as reality-check w/ his straightforward speaking.

Guilliani was flustered throughout much of the debate w/ the exception when talking about Iraq/foreign policy.

Romney started out strong, look presidential. Became flustered as though he was trying to pander to right-wing conservatives instead of being principled.

Hunter very weak showing...almost forgot he was there.

I like Congressmen Hunter and Tancredo and I thought since the issue was immigration for the most part Tancredo won and is the best candidate in my view we would be galvanized with a Hunter Tancredo ticket or visa versa

These debates are setup to star the media darlings. Having said that, the winner was CNN. They have yet continued to coerce the public into submission by ommision. Then again, it's our duty to research properly. They should only be used as one method of doing so.

Tancredo is my favorite but he can't win. McCain did well, but I won't vote for him because of the "Smamnesty" bill. Romney seemed uncertain at times but I like him.

Huckabee got NAILED on one question. He was asked about in-state tuition for illegals. He tried to side-step it and explain away his actions about giving cheaper tuition to illegals and not citizens. The woman was 100% about his actions being wrong.

After this answer, and the fact that I don't like Huckabee because of his pro-illegal views, I stopped listening to him.

BTW, Paul was a joke, like usual.

They all danced around the questions like usual... I wanna know how come, everytime a politician is asked a standard question... they get all tensed and nervous, like their trying to cloak their words.

Doesn't that seem odd to you??
Maybe it's just me.

I'm gonna say there was NOO winner. All the questions were Media Based, and kind of a joke, in my opinion.

Ron Paul STILL wins in my mind... but that's just because he's got ACTUAL people supporting him. ... the start of a movement.
