I'm watching this little girl who is almost 2 and her mom told me she has a rash. Well I checked it out which is all over her, but she doesn't itch it. So i'm not completely sure if it is chicken pox. They look a little scaby to me. But anyways, I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant and I am worried now something can happen to my unborn child. When I was younger I had the chicken pox so I know I can't catch them. Is there any harm to my baby? Oh, and I have tried calling my doctor but there voicemail says they have stepped away for a while.

I talked to my OBGYN doctor and she said since I have had chicken pox when I was younger me and my baby are fine.
I had the little girls mother come and get her and she took her to the ER to be seen tonight because it's getting worse and then I disinfected my whole house.

no there is so risk what so ever to your baby if you have already had them.

I was exposed to full blown chicken pox, actually shared a drink with a kid who had them, when I was 16 weeks pregnant.

If you've had them as a kid you're perfectly safe.

don't worry if you have already had chicken pox then there's no risk to you and your baby if it was measles then that can harm the unborn baby. x x x

you DEFIANTLY need to tell your OBGYN.in some cases it CAN cause harm.your doctor will give you instructions on what to do.they may only have you wear those little cloth masks.JUST BECAUSE YOU HAD THE CHICKEN POX DOESN'T MEAN THE CHILD IS IMMUNE.otherwise children wouldn't get them if the mother already had them.
