OMG can I ever!!! My husband all of sudden has the worst breath and he brushes and used mouthwash and I can STILL smell it. YUCK!! PLUS he works a manual labor job in a warehouse and I can smell the machinery on him even after he washes. It makes it real hard to be close to him.

I have the same problem. I will say I smell something and everyone says Im crazy...then about 10 minutes later they smell it too. I think I have the ability to smell fewer molecules in the air than they do and by the time they smell it, it has become stronger. Sometimes they never do smell it. And the weird thing is I have allergies and my nose is 50% stuffed up most of the time.
Because of my sensitivity to smells I have problems smelling perfume and other things which become sickening to smell.

I was the same throughout my pregnancy, and I still smell better than ever before now that my son is 8 months old. I think it's nature's way of making you super-careful about your environment and what you eat.
I think it's really neat, but pretty annoying at times.
Things don't bother me as much since I had the baby, but I can still smell things better than my husband, which was never true before i got pregnant.

I had severe morning sickness, and my sense of smell was also really exaggerated. For the first three months at least I swore my house smelled like rotten onions, even though we almost never cook with them. My husband thought I was insane. There were also lots of other smells that bothered me...any food smell made me sick to my stomach (I couldn't even handle the scent of chocolate chip cookies baking), as did my husband's cologne. It got better gradually, but I can still smell things keenly...they just don't cause me to vomit anymore! Good luck and congrats!

It's normal for pregnant women.
But, I can relate, even though I am a man. I can just about maneuver in the dark via my sense of smell.

Try rubbing a little Mentholatum or Vick's Vaporub right under your nose -- that stuff can mask the smell of a dead body!

Yeah. When we get pregnant some of our senses highten to extremely high levels. While some of our other things start going bad (like memory) I don't know why. I used to know why. But this memory thing is really working its magic for me. LoL.
