Yup. We bought a house that was built in 1810. It was in pretty bad shape anad we restored it. (Put staircases back where they used to be, rebuilt chimneys , put an intercom in because you couldn't hear anyone in the other side of the house. One night I thought the kids were up because I kept hearing the door slam between the kitchen and the family room. I spoke to them the next morning about it and told them to be more quiet when they came in. They said they were already in and upstairs-----------asleep. I'd never checked. That halloween night the door kept opening, I'd hear a step, the door would close. It kept happening all night, getting louder and louder. I finally turned off the intercom.
The next night when I went to bed I stood down by that door and said (to nobody) We're watching the house now. I appreciate your letting us know you're here. You're welcome to stay, but feel free to cross over. That was the last time we heard him. His name was Wayne and he had worked on the property when it was a farm and was killed in the barn. Nobody ever found out how. The only other time after that was when my daughter came to spend the weekend with us from N.J.. After the first night she asked us if the house was haunted, I laughed and said yes. She said in the middle of the night she woke up and felt someone staring at her (in the pitch black dark). She turned over and say a square if light (about 18 inches square) slide down the wall and go under the bed. Said she wasn't afraid but did sleep with the bedside lamp on for the rest of the night. My husband used to travel and I felt very safe and looked after when he was gone. Not all ghosts are scarey. If he'd been malevolent I would have moved out too..

No, I've never seen a ghost, nor have I ever seen anything to make me believe in the existence of ghosts.

Oh yeah, sightings and my bedroom had this constant "feeling someone was standing behind me" and moving out, if it's a poltergeist or something, it's going to be surrendering to it isn't it? Ghosts were once people too y'know.

My wife and I were just talking about this. I think it would be cool (as long as he/she were friendly), she said she would have to move!
