I want to send my friend a letter and stationary so that he can write me back. Am I allowed to do so? I want to send him a notebook ,journal, stamps and pens...stuff like that. I keep calling the jail but I can never get through.

I can not find anything on what can and can not be sent but I did find out this. They have a commissary account that they can purchase items that range from candy bars to chips, cigarettes and tobacco products, various toiletries, stamps, paper, and envelopes. I think it would be best if you put the money in their account. Whatever amount of money you wish to put on an inmate's "commissary account" must be in the form of a money order, which can either be mailed to the jail or brought down in person. If it is mailed, you must make sure that you list the inmate's full name on the money order, so the proper account can be credited.
