i would say that increasing the "value" in gods eye is not the right way to say it, for we are all of the same "value" are we not?
we may say how can we increase gods pride in us.

by doing the best you can.
giving it your all.

by being a good person.
by helping anyone you may see that needs help.

by not being selfish.
by not being judgmental.
by not being to proud.
by caring.
by loving.
by helping.
by giving.
by not taking things for granted. and being grateful for what you do have.

by having an open mind.
by respecting others from other religions. and races. and cultures.

by not being disresectful.
by not being rude.

by walking away from a "fight" instead of fighting.

and by treating all people how you would like to be treated.

Ok! A personal answer to your question. In my experience, God does not judge our value, we are all the children of this creation. WE judge our value, and there is inherent value in that judgement in that if we are unsatisfied with ourselves, there is something not right about how we are living or appreciating our life.
You increase your value in creation by increasing your contribution to Life. However that pans out for you. Methods are not the question, it's a matter of the heart. What do YOU do for the people?

you cant, everyones value is the same, this is the problem with the christian world, if they actually read the bible they can see that their actions DO NOT make God love them more than some other guy who is watching sports center. It would be like buying your way into heaven. God asks you to do good things and to volenteer, its expected out of you as a christian

I don't need to increase my value in the eyes of God because He already sees me as valuable in everyday life by being a Christian example to others.

I personally don't feel that we need to strive to increase our value with god. I belive if you're a good person and you believe, that's what counts. God knows people aren't perfect and I like to believe that he gives us the benefit of the doubt sometimes and he's all forgiving if we ask for it.

God gave you "All" the value that you could possibly have when you were created! You can not add or take away from this value. The WILL is that you "BE" All the value that you are...
Peace and blessings.....

We don't need to do anything to increase our value in the eyes of God since we're all equal in that department.

We are saved by grace and not works.

If God doesn't value you highly already, you need to find a new God.
