Preggy with baby # 2... Sitting here with my baby name list... And I just realized something... Elizabeth and Rose are both on my list. (Elizabeth was my grandmas name - Rose is my Mothers name) They sound too cute together (I think). My question to you is which combo do you like and why? My sons name is Brody William... I thought I balanced out an awesome unique name with a strong classic name. I wanted the same combo with my daughter (if I am having a lil girl - not sure yet) My husband and I both Love the name Jensen... I love the name Rory... But now sitting her seeing Elizabeth Rose together it looks sort of perfect (but maybe a bit over-used). What do you think?

Jacksons Meeme: As always gf, thank you so much for going above and beyond. Thank you for all the meanings of the first names I have here on my list. You know how it is... These lists drive you nuts... But mostly I think its the fact that I haven't met her (I swear this is a girl;) yet... When I do... I know her name will fit the little person she is just like Brody's. And your lil guy Jackson's ;)

I LOVE Jensen Elizabeth. I like it because of the meaning you gave. I also have another site, it's http://www.kabalarians.com which gives detailed meaning to names. Just so you don't have to hop over there and look up the meaning of Jensen, I'll add it here for you. I just want to say I also LOVE the name Rory too. That was one of my choices when I was pregnant. Rory Elizabeth is really pretty....I can't decide which one I like better,.

MEANING OF JENSEN:
Although the name Jensen creates the urge to be creative and original, we emphasize that it limits your versatility and scope, tuning you to technical details.

Your first name of Jensen has made you a hard worker with a meticulous sense of detail.

You have a great deal of patience and independence, and you can be relied upon to complete your undertakings.

You could be inventive along scientific or practical lines.

You are stable, trustworthy, homeloving, and logical in practical matters, but rather unresponsive to suggestions from others.

You resist change.

AND so you have it.

MEANING OF ELIZABETH:
Although the name Elizabeth creates the urge to understand others, we stress that it limits self-expression and self-confidence causing moods.

Your name of Elizabeth contributes sensitive, creative, and idealistic qualities to your nature that could be expressed in a variety of literary or artistic fields.

You desire harmony and refinement in your environment and in all your personal associations.

Although mentally quick and intuitive in recognizing the thoughts and feelings of others, you experience a lack of fluency in verbal expression in responding.

MEANING OF RORY:
Although the name Rory creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it limits your versatility and scope, tuning you to technical details.

Your first name of Rory gives you the desire for responsibility and takes you into practical pursuits.

You would excel in work of a technical nature where concentration and attention to detail are important.

Whatever you undertake, you have the patience and determination to do well.

You feel a sense of security in positions of responsibility where progress is made through systematic, step-by-step procedures.

However, you lack vision and you could become too involved in technical details, system, and routine.

You do not readily adjust to changes in your routine.

I think that Elizabeth Rose is a beautiful name, or even Rose Elizabeth. Either way, it's a very traditional name, and everyone is going to say/spell it correctly. Something she'll thank you for later.

Although, I prefer Rory Elizabeth, just because it is a little less traditional. Rory and Brody go very well together, but I like the meaning that Elizabeth and Rose have to you.

Jensen to me sounds more like a masculine name. Although, If I were to use it, I'd put it with Rose instead, Jensen Rose. I don't think it flows as well with Elizabeth.

Either way though, your baby is going to have a name she can be proud of. Fingers crossed that it's a girl. :) Congratulations, and good luck finding a name that is right for your family.

Hello again, I really enjoy answering your questions! You first introduced me to the name Jensen yesterday and I have loved it ever since. I am trying to convince my husband to use it for our little girl. Rory is an all time favorite, its a strong but cute name. Elizabeth is a classic and great name and its so cool it has a special meaning for you that you can tell your daughter. I know I always tried to tie in a meaning when naming my kids. At least in the middle name. I think my favorite is Jensen Elizabeth. I still love that name! I also love Rory. Which ever you go with will be great!!!

I don't like Jensen. It sounds like a last name and if it was a first name I would use it for a boy.

Elizabeth Rose is very classic and pretty but nothing "pops" about it. It's pretty, but it's a little plain. I love Rory! That is such a cool name..but it's also cute, fun, playful, and pretty at the same time.

My vote is for Rory Elizabeth!

Also, if you still like Rose and want to use it, you can always name her Rory Rose Elizabeth. Rory Rose could be the first name..I love that, now that I think about it!

Congrats :-)

Elizabeth Rose is beautiful...and who cares if it's over-used you would be honoring two special women in your life...

I don't like Rory at all....I've always heard it as a boy's name. And it would be weird if you gave birth to a girlie-girl with a boy's name.

And while Jensen is unique...and not too strange...it doesn't flow with Elizabeth at all. You could do Jensen Rose....but that maybe too English Butler too.

I say go with Elizabeth Rose...it's definitely the best out of the three choices.

Elizabeth Rose is gorgeous. Elizabeth is so classy and has so many nicknames she could go by. Rory and Jensen are both boy names in my opinion and don't compare at all to the lovely Elizabeth.

I disagree with over-used. I work in a school and have not come across an Elizabeth for years. Think people tend to use it more as a middle name. It is a strong and classic name which is also pretty. It can be shortened to Beth, Lizzie or Eliza, all of which are considerably better than Jenson or Rory.
